The D:A:D Study

The Data Collection o­n Adverse events of Anti-HIV Drugs (D:A:D) is a prospective multi-cohort study of HIV-infected persons under active follow up. The purpose of the study is to assess the incidence of myocardial infarction among HIV/AIDS patients who are receiving anti-retroviral therapy. This, in turn, will allow us is to investigate whether treatment with anti-retroviral drugs is associated with development of cardio-vascular disease, an evaluation of long-term side effects.
