Clinical Trials

The Clinical Trials Research Group at CHIP engage in carrying out international investigator-driven randomized clinical trials within the field of various infectious diseases, e.g. HIV, influenza, COVID and respiratory infections. The group is dedicated to designing, conducting, and analyzing high-quality clinical trials that advance our understanding of infectious diseases to improve patients health.

The group focuses on clinical research that bridges laboratory findings with data collected, studying and improving methods for preventing, diagnosing and treating diseases, particularly in the areas of infectious diseases. With a strong commitment to ethical standards, patient safety, and scientific integrity, the work contributes to evidence-based medical guidelines and innovative treatment strategies.

The main part of the trials is done in collaboration with the STRIVE Network, an international consortium that includes hospitals, research groups and coordinating centres world-wide.
