Pharmacoeconomics study

The purpose of the Pharmacoeconomics study was to compare the two treatment regimens in terms of:

1.  cost-effectiveness
2. cost-utility in a subset of patients (Italy)

Assessments were part of the main study. Data regarding in-patient care, e.g. type and length of hospitalisation, were recorded for all patients included in the main study. A detailed pharmacoeconomics substudy was conducted in Italy only.
