Public Health
CHIP is dedicated to support and strengthening the public health response to HIV, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections across Europe. We work on ensuring that scientific results generated at CHIP are applied to inform clinical practice and policy and guideline development in the European region. In collaboration with both international and national organisations we manage several European projects on:
- Promoting early diagnosis and access to care through awareness campaigns, testing initiatives, and digital tools;
- Strengthening health systems by building the capacity of healthcare professionals and institutions; and
- Advancing public health research and innovation by supporting collaborative studies and developing evidence-based strategies.
We work closely with WHO, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, the European AIDS Clinical Society and European AIDS Treatment Group and other regional partners to ensure our efforts align with global health goals and contribute to the elimination of these diseases as public health threats.
