The RESPOND Public Health (PH) SIG is part of the RESPOND consortium (the International Cohort Consortium of Infectious Disease). This module aims to establish a better understanding of the “right hand side” of the HIV continuum of care; those diagnosed and on ART and of those, the virologically suppressed.

The goal is to develop a tool, for better estimation of the number of persons on ART and, of those the virologically suppressed. This tool will be free of charge and available online to allow countries, where such data are missing or insufficiently reported at a national level, the opportunity to estimate their own “right hand side” of the continuum. This is essential in ensuring better quality of life for PLHIV and reducing new HIV infections.

The task is to assemble a SIG of clinicians, public health experts and international surveillance organisations, with a common interest in HIV as a public health challenge and a willingness to exchange experience and ideas about the proper management and surveillance of HIV as well as quality of life for PLHIV.
